Jewish Song Sundays--- #1

Baruch Levine: Vezakeini

For some this may be a new song, for others you may remember it from the Hasc 20 video, or if you have Boruch Levine’s CD.

Over Yom Tov, my shul kept singing this song, and I love it so much. The boys sing it beautifully, so I decided to share it for those who haven’t heard it.

The lyrics are taken from the Yehi Ratzon a woman says Friday night when she lights candles.

Here’s a translation of the song:

"Privilege me to raise children and grandchildren who are wise and understanding, who will"love Hashem and fear G-d, people of truth, holy offspring attached to Hashem who will illuminate the world with Torah and good deeds and with every labor in the service of the Creator."

Some technical information:
For those that want to download the video into avi or mpeg then you can download Save 2 Pc.
If you want to download just the music from the video then you can do that at Vid 2 MP3.

thanx, your welcome!
and Thanx!

Also, to add on to give credit to the boy singer, you may recognize him from the Miami boys choir, his name is Yossi Shick.

Hey, no big:)
Haven't really followed MBC since the days of Spinner and Oded Karity. Sorry.
But this kid was good.

o, Spinner was such a cute little one. Perhaps I'll do one of his songs next.

yea, he's also in shalsheles junior if you ever heard of it.

Shalsheles Junior: Ah, now I know why his voice sounded so familiar. I heard that at my house a million times!
Also, heard the Baruch Levine CD, and I'm pretty sure this kid sings there too. V'hoo Keili is out of this world, btw. Couldn't find it on youtube:(
I'll bet this kid's a big star these days. If he isn't, he should be.

lol, yea it was very popular. I still hear "Modeh Ani" in my head every time I think of it.

could be he sings there too, I have the CD's, but I haven't looked to see who the kid singer is. And yea, that is a great song, I can check to see if I can find it.

doubt he's a star yet, perhaps when he grows up, but yea he deserves it!
